Happy/Sad Soup.

We here at The Soup Show are happy/sad to be performing our last show tonight.  We are happy because over the course of the last week (and the entire run), many many people have attended, making our last week a sold-out one.  Thank you.  We are sad because we wish we could perform this show for every living person.  We feel that we have created something particularly ‘of the moment’ and important.  Not important in that sort of lah-dee-dah kind of way, but in a way that sort of hits you when you see something you didn’t expect, or didn’t even know you needed.

There have been a lot of kind words said about the show and for that we are super-duper grateful.  We’ll include links to those words below, but we’ll also leave you with some quotes from our audience members post-show.

We thank each and every one of you for coming and being part of our soup.  You have made it all the more delicious.

“You showed once again the importance and necessity of live theater.”
“Every woman needs to see this, like oh my god.”
“Tell the ladies their soup is delicious.”
“…it made me think about my mom and it made me want to cry, but you know, like in a good way.”
“So well done - funny, and moving, and relevant.”
“…strength is something that we all need, especially now. At the end of the show, we couldn’t stop talking about how uplifting it was for both of us in so many ways.”
“It was thoughtful, wise, funny, engaging, daring, moving, beautifully written, performed and directed!”
“This show needed to happen.”
